In a Nutshell: I visited North Korea in late 2014 and over 16 days ventured to all corners of this mysterious nation on one of the longest itineraries ever executed for foreigners. Here are 100 photos (part 1) taken during this visit to North Korea.

Simply fascinating. I couldn’t stop looking at these pix. I visited the Soviet Union and then Russia shortly after the fall. This reminded me of those experiences but this seems about a hundred times as intense. North Korea just made my bucket list. Thanks!
Utterly fascinating. How did you get access to N. Korea? NK is so much different than I thought it would be.
Amazing Pictures of the Mystery Country. I love how you capture the real side of the North Korea. Never know that it is such a beautiful country.
An eye opener. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the great pictures! I went throught every one of it. These pictures really gives us an insight of what North Korea is like.
very impressive!!!
You are an outstanding photographer!
I especially liked your photographs of the DMZ and its buildings and the USS Pueblo. The reason being that compliments of the U.S. Army I was in South Korea in 1967-1968. The buildings on the DMZ have, of course,
been up-dated and actually look quite spiffy compared to what they were when I was with the 2nd Infantry Division and was a PFC medic,
Your photographs and your info captions were outstanding!
As a 19 year old soldier with the 2nd div that entered NK in 1950.I was surprised to see the city and other areas so modern and beautiful. My memories are huts and very few solid structures.Their way of living, although so simple, is childlike in believing what they are told. I hope someday the Koreas will be united as they are a beautiful people.
Thanks for sharing men! Very nice pics. Always been so curious to see what NK looked like but never found enough photos.
THANK YOU for opening my eyes to another side of this world-a sad and curious one.
